Ups & Downs
Had a fellow wrestle my pants off Wednesday. Then we decided to skip sex after he declined to use a condom. He didn't try to argue with me, give me any attitude, or coax me into his way of doing things. Just said he wasn't into condoms and if I was, "let's get dressed and go get dinner". I still have the bruises from the wrestling part of the "foreplay". Sigh. We won't be wrestling again.

Made an unplanned trip to the emergency room Friday night at 5pm. Was washing dishes as part of my labor trade for tango lessons and broke a glass bowl - right into my left hand. Tango-Crush took me to the hospital and waited with me. Brought his knitting. Then distracted me by busting on me, which he does quite often. He was way into the stitches the doc put into my hand. He leaned in to see better and asked questions. I couldn't watch... He did let me hold his hand while it was underway. I whimpered when they shot me up with lidocaine... it wasn't pretty. Then they popped me with a tetanus shot.

He took me out dancing after the hospital cut me lose. We arrived at the Contra Dance at the "half-time" break. My hand was splinted to keep it immobile. Nicked a tendon... will see a specialist Monday. Asked TC to put a barret in my hair (I couldn't pull it back) & to tie my shoes. I was feeling quite incompetent. He isn't really the nurturing type. More like the practical type... but he was there for me when I needed someone.

I'm left handed. The next two weeks are going to be challenging. May have to pay my hair dresser to wash my hair for me... I'm slowly realizing what I really need both hands for.

But I'm lucky I wasn't alone when this happened. And I'm not going to worry about what "might be" as far as the injury until I see the next doc.

Bailey,

Well, the wrestling sounds like a whole lotta fun! The bit with the hand? Not so much...

Now's the time to fire up your domme side and find some string of boys to come over and take care of all your worldly needs. Knowing you, finding such a string shouldn't be that difficult...

Keep on pluggin' there kiddo and heal up soon!

Madoc

The wrestling was great! But we can't so that anymore because the boy says "that really makes me horny". Duh. But he's a good friend, and I'll take what I can get.

As far as submissive men, I'd never get rid of them! I am learning to ask friends & family for help when I need it. Learned that lesson when I had foot surgery a few years back. Time to put the pride and independence on the back burner for a few weeks.

Then I'll be back to my self-supporting stubbornness :-)

I did that not too long ago. Even my fairly incompetent boyfriend at the time came through on taking care of me. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you that it isn't too bad.

Thanks. My tango coach is good at making me laugh, he's just not long on sympathy. I'll take the former.

Surgery tomorrow to reattach a nerve I appear to have cut.

I'll post an update when I up for some one handed typing.

Take care of yourself too!

sorry about the non-gratification of wrestling only...

I am sure someone better suited for your passions will surface.

Hugs...

p.s. How far are you from Durham?

It's all good. It was a good experience as he didn't give me any attitude or create any drama. We're still friends.

Durham: about 45 minutes. Very close. You making a trip east?

Hmmm. Didn't know you were into wrestling so much. *grin*

Sorry to hear about your hand, and I'm glad you had TC. I'm with madoc62, though about the willing submissive types.

Do let us know about what the specialist says.

Hugs, Grim

Specialist says: microscopic surgery to re-attach the nerve I appear to have severed. First thing tomorrow morning.

The wrestling was great. Even if I did lose every round... :-)

The wresting sounds like fun (ok, so I'm into wrestling and bruises). Bummer about the guy not being into a condom though.

I'm glad that you weren't alone when your hand happened either! Keep us posted on the doc.

The guy was cool. No coercion to try to change my mind. Actually, I've never experience a non-condom guy who didn't try to talk me into his way of doing things. So this was a pleasant first for me.

Doc says: surgery to re-attach the nerve. tomorrow.

Will post an update later this week.

Nice to hear from you :-)

I feel terrible and you didn't call me??? I certainly hope you haven't tried to do dishes at home or anywhere since then. Anyway I will be calling tomorrow as soon as I get out of my appt.s and such.
I will be over too help you with what ever needs looking after. That is what you let friends do for you. And you have been here for me so many times these past few months.

I am really sorry to hear about the dude with the hang up on condoms. I am glad he wasn't dumb enough to try to convince you to his way of thinking.

Hugs

Nice talking to you today. The note from the cat was precious!

Thanks for the offer and as I figure this out, I'll keep you posted.
Promise.

Owie, owie! On both counts!

Let me know if you need a referral to a hand surgeon. I've got a top flight one out here who is likely to have connections somewhere closer to you. I have use of a previously completely nonfunctional finger again thanks to him.

Of course, you could always just come back home (out here) for care ;->

Seriously, even though TC isn't much of a nurturer, I'm glad he was there to help you out. He sounds like he at least tried to distract you from the pain, so he definitely gets brownie points for sticking around.

Thank you for the offer of a referral. My mom has totally stressed me out wanting a through investigation of the guy the ER sent me to. Turns out he's with the best hand group in the area and the founder is a good friend of my dad's. I'm going in for surgery 1st thing tomorrow to have a nerve re-attached. If I still have issues down the road, we'll talk.

ME: raleighhand.com --> Dr Messer

As for TC, he makes me laugh. That makes up for the lack of nurturing. At the moment. He was absolutely up for taking me if for surgery and keeping the post-surgery watch. SO was Spinoza. I seem to have lots of options for a single girl.

But my dad was available. So that's who I'll be with tomorrow.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident, bailey. Glad you were with someone that doesn't faint at the sight of blood - unlike me.

Perhaps you could convince this fellow to wear a full-body condom for wrestling AND sex.

Call me, if you need me.

hey! surgery went well. typing one handed and on pain meds but it was an uneventful experience. my dad fed me steak for dinner last night - had to cut it up for me.

i'm home. doing well. being patient.

thanks for the offer. think i'm fine, but always good to have options.
